New!

Once again I had a beer cozy epiphany. Why don't I make cozies in Sports Team Colors? After all people love to drink beer and watch the game all decked out in team spirit so why shouldn't their beers get to dress up too? So my first listing in my Etsy store is for a pair of Denver Bronco Cozies in Orange and Blue. These would make a terrific Christmas gift for the sports fan who has everything! I also listed a new coffee cozy in Brown and Orange and an Acorn bowl.

Custom Business Card Pouch

Amanda over at Eenie Beanie Threads asked me to make her a business card pouch. She wanted it in eggplant purple with a bee and a daisy flower. Here is what I came up with.

Carol's Windows

I am not sure if I have mentioned that my mother-in-law has an Etsy shop called SunshineCarol. She is finally getting her gorgeous stained glass mosaic windows listed and I wanted to share them with you today. Go check out her shop if you get a chance. She also makes wonderful hand-built ceramic ornaments, wind chimes, plates and all sorts of other wonders and Tom her partner in crime is the creator of the step stools and plant stands. He made a step stool for Seamus and I will admit that I use it just as much as he does. It is definitely an indispensable tool in our household. I truly think that more people should know about the amazing craftsmanship coming from their household. So go check it out I insist!

Tuesday is Giveaway Day!

Maybe not every Tuesday, but I have apologized for my inconsistencies. This week I would like to contribute something from my own darn self. This weekend I organized and listed most of my Felted Coffee Cuffs and in the spirit of things I would love to give the winner of this week's drawing their choice of cuff whether it be one I have already or a different color combo. You can see them in my Etsy store or on my Flickr page (which actually has the Cuffs not listed as well).

What do you
have to do? Leave a comment here! That's it! I will draw a name on Monday October 27th.

I forgot to mention that I can only ship to the US or Canada. Sorry to all my lovely overseas friends!

BeanpickleSprout Rocks!

Amy over at BeanPickleSprout strikes again! You probably think I am biased because she is my good friend but oh my gosh I can't even stand how wonderful her stuff is!
Anyway enough of my gushing and to the point: Amy is making Placemats!! She is also looking for feedback on them. I love the woodgrain even though it doesn't go with our design scheme I would be tempted by them anyway.

Lots Listed this weekend!

Hello! Once again I apologize to any and all who might actually still read this blog that I have such a difficult time keeping up on apparently. I spent this weekend cleaning up and organizing my inventory and getting a bunch of things listed. The Pinecone Tray is officially up as is it's little sister the Acorn Tray. I found a set of nesting bowls that I had never listed that I thought went well with the season. By request I made 2 more Alpaca Heart Bowls and they are even better than the last ones as I am finally getting the hang of felting alpaca. Thanks for looking!

I almost forgot! If you are interested in custom orders for your holiday gift giving please drop me a line so I can get cracking on your projects.

I wanted to bring attention to a Purse in my shop that I have re-listed. It is knit in baby pink and black Fibonacci stripes and has a handmade ceramic button designed specifically for this bag.

Hearts on Oatmeal

I posted this set today in my Etsy store. I am loving this oatmeal yarn that I got from fishlegs: another super etsy seller. I have a lot of this yarn so you will be seeing all sorts of fun oatmeal creations flying off my needles.

Queen's Canyon

We hiked an intensive 9 miles on Thursday Past Echo rock and up the reclimated mining scar overlooking Colorado Springs eventually ending up in Queen's Canyon. This canyon might possibly be one of the most gorgeous places around Colorado Springs. I thought I would share a few pictures. At the mouth of the canyon sits Glen Eyrie castle and Big horn sheep wander throughout the area in large herds and can be seen grazing in the valley or lounging all over the grounds.

Fall Color

We went hiking last Friday (I know big surprise!) The leaves are brilliant and I wanted to share a couple of pictures with you. We were hiking along trail 666 in Bear Creek Canyon just outside of Colorado Springs.

Pinecones and Poppies

Well here it is! I went with the pine cone and I am so excited with the result. I included the pine cone I used for a model, my Italian beach stones, a sand dollar and a cork from a bottle of wine I drank with Mariah when we were in Cinque Terra, Italy. I have not listed the pine cone tray yet. It will be up in the next couple of days.

The poppy bowl is fun. I had a wholesale order and there was a request for a small poppy bowl. I was so excited with the result that I decided to make one for my etsy store.

Any Suggestions?

After Nona commissioned Clara's nature bowl, I decided to play around with the concept of trays. This is the biggest one I have created so far at 11" across and an inch deep. I used my large All Clad pot as the form. The color is a fantastic heathered olive yarn. So my question to you is: "Should I needle felt anything onto it and if so what do you think it should be?"
